In the language of ancient Egypt, swnw ("sunu") meant physician — a healer. Its feminine form, swnwt ("sunet"), meant a woman healer. Around 2400 BC, an Egyptian woman named Peseshet carried the title Overseer of the Female Physicians — among the first women in recorded history to hold a place in medicine.في لغة مصر القديمة، كلمة سونو (swnw) كان معناها الطبيب — المعالِج. والمؤنث بتاعها سونِت (swnwt) معناه الطبيبة. وحوالي سنة ٢٤٠٠ قبل الميلاد، ست مصرية اسمها بسِشِت كان لقبها المشرفة على الطبيبات — ومن أوائل الستات في التاريخ المكتوب اللي كان ليهم مكان في الطب.

The eye in our logo is the wedjat — the Eye of Horus, ancient Egypt's symbol of protection, healing and restoration. Egyptians wore it as an amulet against harm and painted it on ships for safe passage — one of history's first wearable symbols of protection.
